Fin Garden is a historical garden, a Unesco World Heritage Site. In the past, the garden was 10 km away from Kashan. But today, due to the city’s development, the park is connected to the city.

Fin Garden

Finn Garden is one of the tourist attractions of Kashan city. Famous Finn Bathhouse is located in the garden too. The garden is 22,000 square meters and is surrounded by walls and towers. Its construction’s exact date is unknown, But it was rebuilt and expanded definitely during the Safavid period.

This work was attributed to Abbas The Great, who was later continued by his successors, king Abbas II and king Safi. Later, not much attention is paid to the garden, and an earthquake damages its buildings.

Karim Khan Zand, the king of Iran, restored the buildings in the 18th century AD and added Karimkhani’s Private Facility to them. Water is supplied from a spring located at a higher level than the streams and pools of the garden.

The creeks are covered with turquoise tiles. The flow of water in them and under the shade of the trees in that desert environment is excellent. Most garden trees are cypress and sycamore.

The Safavid building is located in the middle of the garden. King Fath Ali of the Qajar dynasty also built a mansion and a bath at the end of the park in the 19th century. ( To see beautiful pictures from the history of Iran, refer to the Architectural Photography Examples article. )

King Fath Ali was more concerned with having more women than the country, was incompetent, and had a large harem. During his time and his successors, Iran came under the domination of the Russian and British empires. And many parts of the territory of Iran were separated. The Qajar building has paintings on its ceiling and walls.

Fin Bath

Fin bath is actually located in the Qajar mansion. Its roof and walls are full of paintings; there are numerous ponds and streams. There is a historical reason for the fame of this bath. Amir Kabir, the famous minister of king Nasser al-Din, was assassinated in 1852 by order of the king in this bath.

Amir Kabir was a worthy minister, and the king, on the contrary, had a large harem. By the time of Nasser al-Din, Iran was completely weak, and the people were poor. Amir Kabir opposed the king’s decisions and was eventually killed for this. Unlike the king, Amir Kabir is a popular figure in Iranian history.
